Our Beliefs

Core Values

Our CORE VALUES are those distinctive values that define, shape, and enable us to fulfill our mission to awaken the world to real life in Christ so that people put God at the center of their lives.

1. GRACE – God has extended His grace into our lives through Jesus Christ. Therefore we are committed to nurturing a graceful atmosphere that permeates our church and extends to our community and world.

2. TRUTH – We want to know God and make Him known. He has given us the Bible as His inspired Word and we are committed to study and teach the Scripture individually and as a gathered people in order to get to know God better and apply His Word to our lives.

3. COMPASSION – The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. As God’s people, we want to extend His kindness into our community, to those who are needy, hurting, broken. We want to provide a haven from the storms of life where people can receive the ministry of Christ through our love and care.

4. COMMUNITY – We are a gathered people who belong to God and to each other. We are becoming a community with a desire to reach our community in our homes and in the marketplace.

5. AUTHENTICITY – The Lord delights to meet us right where we are and begin a transformational work in our lives. Because our confidence is in God’s work in our lives, we will seek the courage to be honest, the freedom to grow through failure, the hope for a second chance, and the grace to mature.

6. FREEDOM – Christ has set us free to grow and serve Him as uniquely created image bearers. We want to help people discover their gifts, talents, and abilities and joyfully use them to worship and serve the Lord trusting that He will bring forth fruit in His way.

7. SERVANTHOOD – Jesus came to serve and we want to walk in His way. No act of service is beneath us for God’s glory and the expansion of His kingdom.

8. PRAYER – Communing with God is a joy and privilege. We are committed to adoring God expressively, confessing our weaknesses, immaturity, and sin, thanking Him for His kingdom work in and through us, and praying for one another as we gather together as a church, in small groups, with our families, and in our individual lives.
