Evergreen Church is a contemporary, nondenominational, evangelical, Christian church. For a discussion of our beliefs see Core Values and Our Beliefs. We are affiliated with Great Commission Churches. For resourcing purposes, we are also a member of the Willow Creek Association of Churches. We are a multi-site church with multiple sites throughout the Twin Cities.
Although we meet in five different locations throughout the Twin Cities, Evergreen is one church. We chose this strategy to create unity, foster collaboration, construct pastoral accountability and maximize office efficiency. We operate according to the same church by-laws, are financially supported as one organization and all members become members of the same church.
Evergreen currently meets in Lakeville, Bloomington and New Hope. There are also two locations in Minneapolis under a different name: The Rock and The Urban Refuge. The Rock meets in Uptown and is an Evergreen church designed specifically to meet the needs of students, young couples and singles. The Urban Refuge meets in South Minneapolis and is an Evergreen church designed to meet the needs of urban and multicultural families.
Visit our map, which includes service times and addresses for each of our locations.
Church membership is an important step for any growing Christian. We offer a new member class held periodically throughout the year at each location. The class covers the mission of Evergreen, our core values, and the commitments of being a member. God wants you to be involved with the greatest and most fulfilling work on this earth, and that work is taking place in the local church! Check the schedule of each location for the New Member’s Class.
All teachings are recorded and available from our media library. Reviewing past messages reinforces what you’ve already heard and can help you grow in your spiritual life. You can listen while commuting, cleaning, exercising — the possibilities are endless. Check out our online messages by clicking on Media Center on our location home pages. You can listen and download messages from all five locations, as well as purchase a CD online.
Connection happens through building close relationships. Each location offers two mains ways to get connected relationally: 1) small groups, and 2) programs and ministries. You can learn more by visiting each location’s page.
