Our Vision
Our Dream and Passion for Ministry in Charlottesville
All churches in some way feel the pressure to be something different in order to reach the lost, have an impact upon their community, and achieve their vision. For us at Evergreen, we don’t simply want to change, but to become who we are in Christ, who is filling us with a burden to be a church . . .
. . . that is theologically-sound, yet Spirit-filled.
. . . offering deep, authentic, graceful relationships.
. . . valuing family health and wholeness and desiring to pursue this through the restoration of a biblical vision to this arena.
. . . that relationally cares for university students and wants to help them find God’s purpose for their lives.
. . . that is relevant to where people live and work.
. . . that radically pursues the healing of wounds and hurts that have lead to division and injustice in our community and world.
Our Vision
Our VISION is a picture of how we expect our world to be changed by our mission.
It is our dream to awaken our community to real life in Christ so that people put God at the center of their lives with the result that . . .
Lost people are creatively and relationally reached,
Parents are challenged to pursue a biblical vision for their families,
University students are encouraged to a life of worship and service,
Individuals are equipped to fulfill their God-given purpose at work, and
Biblical mercy and justice are demonstrated in our community.
